Eaton Corporation announced the retirement of Jim Meil, effective April 30. Meil retired after 29 years of service with Eaton. “In his role as chief economist, Jim has played an invaluable role in helping Eaton’s management understand and anticipate market trends and opportunities,” said Richard H. Fearon, vice chairman and chief financial and planning officer. Meil was a regular speaker at NFPA’s Industry & Economic Outlook Conference delivering the Fluid Power Market Forecast. NFPA thanks Jim for his contributions and wishes him well in his retirement.
Succeeding Jim Meil is Arun Raha, who has been named vice president and chief economist, effective May 1. “He is an accomplished economist with a detailed knowledge of our markets,” said Fearon. To read the full press release, click here.
