Bimba Manufacturing Company announced that Jamie Hyneman, who is president of M5 Industries and is known for his work on the cable television program MythBusters, is joining its R&D team. The official announcement took place during a press conference at PACK EXPO International in Chicago on November 4. “As we move forward, I intend to work closely with Bimba’s experts to come up with ideas for new components and subject them to rigorous tests to validate them,” Hyneman said of the new affiliation. “For me, there is nothing as exciting as a good problem to solve. Working with the team at Bimba, we’ll have opportunities to combine theoretical possibilities with practical solutions.”
Sun Hydraulics Corporation announced its upcoming presentation at the Robert W. Baird Industrial Conference in Chicago. The presentation will take place on November 12, 2014 at 10:30 AM CST. A copy of the presentation will be made available in the Investor Relations section of www.sunhydraulics.com.
Sun Hydraulics Corporation also reported its results for the third quarter of 2014. “Sun’s third quarter results were strong compared to last year,” Allen Carlson, Sun’s President and CEO, said. “Demand for our products was up in all major geographic end markets, with Europe up 15% and North America and Asia/Pacific each up 10%. Earnings came in as expected and included ongoing investments in product development and marketing efforts.”
