NFPA Member Company Profile: Hydrocontrol, Inc.

NFPA Company Profiles for NFPA News

With NFPA membership at an all-time high, publishing a short profile of an NFPA member each week is one way for us to highlight the diversity and strength of our industry. Today’s company is Hydrocontrol, Inc.

Hydrocontrol, Inc., a manufacturer of mobile hydraulic sectional monoblock directional control valves, based in Red Wing, Minnesota, joined NFPA just over a year ago. Fortunately for a group of NFPA staff, Red Wing is an easy stop between Milwaukee and Minneapolis prompting a visit with Brian Miest, Hydrocontrol’s General Manager. The Hydrocontrol facility occupies a large parcel of land in a developing section of Red Wing and was built with growth in mind. The company is optimistic about the future and expects a 15% annual growth rate. In fact, Brian along with Dan Plotz, Service Manager, attended the NFPA Minneapolis Regional Meeting on April 22, and participated in the Hennepin Technical College Fluid Power Career Fair that immediately followed the NFPA meeting. They hoped to find two new hires that day and plan on hiring at least two people each year for the foreseeable future. NFPA is excited to have members like Hydrocontrol Inc., who are clearly poised for growth, as part of the membership.
