Each week we publish a short company profile of an NFPA member as a way for us to highlight the diversity and strength of our industry. Today’s company is Gefran, Inc.
Gefran, Inc., an NFPA member since 2010, has its US facilities in Winchester, MA. Worldwide it has more than 850 employees, 9 production plants, and 17 commercial subsidiaries. Gefran linear displacement transducers, displacement sensors, and indicators are ideal for a wide variety of applications, such as steering systems, stability control, and suspensions. The Gefran product line includes position measurement sensors using magnetostrictive and potentiometric technologies. The company operates in several core markets including plastics, lift industry, hoists and cranes, electrical furnaces, water treatment, HVAC, metal working, and mobile hydraulic. Gefran will have a significant presence at IFPE 2017, taking advantage of the IFPE space discounts available to NFPA members. Gefran staff also take part in NFPA’s Economic Update Webinars, which are offered in May and October.
