NFPA Foundation Scholarship Announcements 2024

Programs like the Fluid Power and the Robotics Challenge Scholarship Programs are made possible in part by the generous support of industry volunteers as well as NFPA Education and Technology Foundation, Pascal Society, and Tom Wanke Legacy Fund donors. Support these efforts by making a donation.


Fluid Power Scholarship Application Now Available 

The NFPA Education and Technology Foundation is now accepting applications for $2,000 scholarships available to students pursuing fluid power education. This scholarship is partially funded by generous donations to the Tom Wanke Legacy Fund. Multiple scholarships are available for the 2024-25 academic year. The deadline to apply is April 1, 2024, at 11:59 PM CT. 

A minimum 2.5 GPA on a 4.0 scale, 500-word essay, one letter of recommendation are required from each applicant. The Foundation’s goal is to help graduating high school seniors, and individuals enrolled at technical colleges, community colleges, and universities pursue their interests in fluid power.


Robotics Challenge Scholarship Application Now Available

The NFPA Education and Technology Foundation is now accepting applications on for the $30,000 scholarship ($7,500 per year, for up to four years) award for a graduating high school senior participates as part of a FIRST® Robotics, National Robotics League, or VEX Robotics Competition Team and uses pneumatics in their robot. One merit-based award is available for the 2024-25 academic year. The deadline to apply is May 5, 2024, at 11:59 PM CT. 

A minimum 3.0 GPA on a 4.0 scale, 1,000-word essay, and one letter of recommendation are required from each applicant. The goal of the NFPA Robotics Challenge Scholarship is to bring an awareness of pneumatic options in robotics to high school students and to stimulate increased use of fluid power products in these competitions.


Volunteer Judges Needed for NFPA’s Scholarship Programs

NFPA Members are invited help review applications for the:
