NFPA Fluid Power Challenge Veterans Continue to Shine in 2014

In the last quarter of 2014, some of NFPA’s Fluid Power Challenge veterans continued to help get students interested in fluid power. In Deltrol Fluid Product’s sixth year of hosting the NFPA Fluid Power Challenge, seventy-four teams participated in two events last October and November. That is 296 students learning about fluid power, teamwork and problem-solving. This is the largest Challenge and it continues to grow under the leadership of Bill Parks, Marcus Royal and Bob Hammond.

Last December, Daman Products Company hosted twenty-nine teams in their fifth Challenge event. Larry Davis, Matt Giloth and the whole team at Daman have a great bond with the students that participate. It is apparent that Daman truly believes in and promotes the benefits of this program.

Our longest running Challenge is hosted by the Milwaukee School of Engineering. This is their seventh year of hosting and this year they had their largest number of teams with thirty-four. This Challenge took place in December and was led by Tom Wanke who’s excitement for teaching students and giving them opportunities is evident.

All of these events have NFPA member support through sponsorship and judging.
