NFPA Company Profile: World Wide Fittings

NFPA Company Profiles for NFPA News

With NFPA membership at an all-time high, publishing a short profile of an NFPA member each week is one way for us to highlight the diversity and strength of our industry. Today’s company is World Wide Fittings Corporation.

World Wide Fittings Corporation logoWorld Wide Fittings Corporation, an NFPA member since 1999, was founded in 1950 as World Wide Supply. Now, World Wide Fittings has grown into a global manufacturer of steel and stainless hydraulic tube and pipe fittings. Initially, World Wide Fittings was a supplier of cold formed hydraulic tube nuts and sleeves as well as SAE O-ring boss plugs. In 1998 World Wide Fittings opened a European stocking facility and technical center in Birmingham, England and, in 2003-2004, two manufacturing facilities in China. Adding these manufacturing facilities, plus the expansion of their headquarters/domestic manufacturing plant in Niles, IL, has allowed the company to offer a complete line of hydraulic fittings. In addition, World Wide Fittings has branch locations in Florida, Nevada, Texas and Pennsylvania.

World Wide Fittings is very involved with NFPA through participation in Market Information Services such as the NFPA State of the Fluid Power Survey and Customer Market Survey, and, regular attendance at the NFPA Annual Conference, NFPA Industry and Economic Outlook Conference and Regional Meetings. World Wide Fittings is also a long-time exhibitor at the IFPE show.
