NFPA Company Profiles for NFPA News
With NFPA membership at an all-time high, publishing a short profile of an NFPA member each week is one way for us to highlight the diversity and strength of our industry. Today’s company is Kepner Products Company.
Kepner Products Company, established in 1948, designs, manufactures and markets in-line and cartridge type valves for liquid and gas featuring the “zero-leak” Kepner Flexible Seal Seat. The product line ranges in size from miniature to models with capacities over 500 gpm. Their products have been used in a variety of applications and end use industries even missile silos during the Cold War.
Kepner Products Company in Villa Park, IL, joined NFPA in 1963. Company founder, H.G. (Hugh) Kepner served on the NFPA Board from 1965 to 1974 and was Chairman from 1971-72. In 2013, Kepner Products celebrated their 65th year in business with a Founders Day celebration that NFPA was delighted to participate in. With the addition of David Broschka to the company, Kepner can boast of three generations leading the company forward.
