Poclain Group recently announced its Board of Directors approved Frederic Michelland’s nomination to Chief Executive Officer. According to Board Chair Laurent Bataille, this is the first time in a long time that the Chief Executive Officer came from outside the founding family. Michelland comes to the position with a long history of developing and improving operational performance in global companies that started in the banking sector in France and abroad. From there, he transitioned into industry as the Chief Financial Officer, Purchasing and Information Systems at Nexans before moving into operations, general management, and business development there and at other companies, most recently serving as Vice President of Business Development for Europe at Spirit Aerosystems.
