Keep Up With Key Industry Trends in Detroit March 26

2019 Detroit Regional Meeting
Tuesday, March 26, 2019
John Wayne Lewis Center of Macomb Community College
Warren, Michigan

This year’s Detroit Regional Meeting highlights two key areas that are affecting the future of the fluid power industry: the Internet of Things and workforce development.

Covering the Internet of Things will be “A Practical Approach to Innovation – Theories into Reality” by Andrew Johnson, CEO of ShelfAware. This presentation will explore several use cases that illustrate entry-level innovations in process automation, the Internet of Things (IoT), and business optimization. Hardware and software demonstrations will bring these high-tech theories into reality, showing attendees how they can create value-added systems.

Given that the meeting will be held at Macomb Community College, attendees can get insights into NFPA’s workforce development programs at the co-located Fluid Power Action Challenge immediately following the meeting. Teams of middle school students will compete using machines they built using fluid power concepts to move objects from place to place on the competition board. If you have never attended an Action Challenge, you can experience the excitement of a future generation of fluid power workforce.

NFPA Regional Meetings are free and open to everyone regardless of their geographic area. Members, non-members, customers, distributors, and suppliers—all are welcome!
