Fluid Power Challenge Grants Available to Schools

As of July 1, 2014, NFPA will be taking grant applications to fund new Fluid Power Challenge events. Schools can apply for grants up to $3,500—challenge kits cost $175 each, so NFPA would cover that cost for up to twenty teams.

The NFPA Fluid Power Challenge is a competition that challenges students to solve an engineering problem using fluid power. They work in teams to design and build a fluid power mechanism, and then compete against other teams in a timed competition.
