Fluid Power Exports In 2014, the value of U.S. exports of fluid power was $5.9 billion. It was the fifth straight year of export growth, increasing 127% since the 2009 recession, and 74% higher than its pre-recession high in 2008.

The top ten export destinations—Brazil, Mexico, China, France, Australia, United Kingdom, Japan, Canada, Germany and Singapore—account for 72% of all U.S. fluid power exports. Growth in these export markets has been dramatic since the 2009 recession, ranging from 67% in Singapore to 248% in Brazil.

The report reviews both the size and economic impact of the industry, as well as explores the energy consumption, best practices and current R&D directions of fluid power technology.
