New for Distributor Members in 2018: The PROFIT Report Comes to NFPA

Long popular with distributors in fluid power and other industries, the Profit Planning Group’s survey-based PROFIT Report will be available to NFPA member distributors starting in January.

The survey can be filled out using balance sheet and income statement information, as well as operations information such as staffing numbers and sales breakdowns by product type and sales path. Company data is received by the Profit Planning Group, which maintains individual company confidentiality and aggregates responses into a detailed report for benchmarking financial and operational performance.

Watch for the survey in January. Distributor participation drives the value of the report and makes it possible to segment data into more meaningful benchmarks based on company size, profitability level, and other factors, so we encourage all distributor members to participate. And, if your company already participates in another PROFIT report survey through a related association, you may be able to apply that data to this new survey, so you only have to submit data once while getting multiple benchmarks in return.
