MFG Day is Here! How Are You Celebrating?

Manufacturing Day 2017 is finally here! Every fall, manufacturers across America open their doors to show their communities what manufacturing really looks like. Many NFPA member companies are involved in this year’s MFG Day celebration, which is on October 6, and a number of them are going beyond one-day events. For example, Aggressive Hydraulics is holding its official event on October 5 and is also keeping its doors open for tours for the entire month of October to reach more students. Whether virtual, one-day, or extended, these events allow students, parents and the general public to explore first-hand the world of manufacturing and its career options and can be scheduled throughout the year.

“Last year’s event was a nice way to share with the community the wonderful living wage jobs available in manufacturing and in the hydraulic industry. We are looking to further promote the same message this year to the community on October 5.” -Paul Johnson, President/CEO of Aggressive Hydraulics.

Are you one of the 17 NFPA members currently registered for MFG Day 17? Tell us about your events! Please send any shareable pictures and recaps of your event to Stephanie Scaccianoce at so that we can help promote the ways our industry has worked to change the perception of modern manufacturing and inspire the next generation!
