Member News: Officer Changes at Parker Hannifin and Motion Industries

NFPA member news is designed to inform members of key industry updates in quick, bite-sized posts that provide only the most important information. This week’s updates come from Parker Hannifin Corp. and Motion Industries, Inc.

Parker Hannifin Corp. recently announced the retirement of Donald Washkewicz, the Chairman of the Board of Directors and former CEO and President. He had been with the company for 43 years. His career began in the Host Products Division, where he was an engineer. From there he moved through a number of roles at the company, including General Manager at the Parflex Division, Vice President of Operations in the Fluid Connectors Group, and Group President of Hydraulics. His retirement officially went into effect December 31, 2015, but Washkewicz will continue to be a member of the Board of Directors. Thomas Williams, CEO of the company, was elected to succeed Washkewicz as Chairman of the Board. Read the full release here.

Motion Industries, Inc. announced three key officer changes that went into effect earlier this month:

• Randy Breaux was named Senior Vice President of Marketing, Distribution and Purchasing. His career at Motion Industries began in 2011 when he became Senior Vice President, Marketing.  He retains his previous responsibility for Marketing and Strategic Planning.
• Tony Cefalu was named Senior Vice President of Hose & Rubber, Shops and Service Centers. He has been with Motion Industries since 1993 when it acquired Berry Bearing Company, the company he had been working at since 1983.
• Kevin Storer was named Senior Vice President of U.S. Operations, President of Mi Mexico. He has been with Motion industries since 1987 when he was part of the West Group. He had previously been responsible for Motion’s Mexico operations but now also has responsibility over U.S. branch and field sales operations.
