Member News: Motion Industries Acquires Two Companies

NFPA member news is designed to inform members of key industry updates in quick, bite-sized posts that provide only the most important information. This week’s updates come from Motion Industries, Inc.

Motion Industries logoMotion Industries, Inc., a distributor of bearings, mechanical power transmission, hydraulic and industrial hose, and hydraulic and pneumatic components, recently announced the acquisition of two companies, Missouri Power Transmission and Epperson and Company. Both transactions went into effect at the beginning of March.

Missouri Power Transmission is a distributor of power transmission equipment specializing in bearings, seals, motors and controls, and other related products. Kevin Storer, Motion Industries, Inc.’s Senior Vice President of U.S. Operations, said the acquisition is expected to “bolster [the company’s] power transmission sales and services in the Midwest and beyond.” Read the full release here.

Epperson and Company specializes in conveyor-related products and services. Tony Cefalu, Motion Industries, Inc.’s Senior Vice President of Hose & Rubber, Shops, and Service Centers, said the company plans to use “Epperson’s material handling expertise to better serve our customers, not only in the Southeast but from coast to coast.” Read that full release here.
