Member News: Expansions for Hydac Corp. and HUSCO International

NFPA member news is designed to inform members of key industry updates in quick, bite-sized posts that provide only the most important information. This week’s updates come from Hydac Corp. and HUSCO International.

Hydac Corp. recently announced a $3.7 million expansion of its southern Ontario manufacturing plant in Welland. The expansion will bring new capabilities to the site, such as a service department and new painting facility. This will bring ten new jobs to the facility and will reduce North American imports from the company’s German parent company. The work is expected to end by 2019. Read more here.

 


HUSCO International recently announced its $85 million expansion and modernization plan that is expected to create 270 jobs by 2020. The company’s home base in Waukesha, Wisconsin will get the biggest part of the investment, which will include 120 new jobs as well as new manufacturing equipment and tooling. The investment will also help upgrade and modernize the Waukesha office facility, which had been built in 1954 and expanded about a dozen times over the years. The Whitewater, Wisconsin; Maquoketa, Iowa; Pune, India; Runcorn, England; and Shanghai, China facilities are also part of this investment plan for new manufacturing equipment, tooling, and facility expansion and modernization.
