Certified Power, Inc., a value-added distributor and provider of hydraulic systems and components, electronic and CANbus-based controls including spreader control, and anti-icing and pre-wetting systems, announced its acquisition of Cirus Controls, LLC. last month. Cirus Controls is based in Minneapolis, MN and serves the winter road maintenance industry. The company designs and manufactures electronic spreader controls, central hydraulic systems, advanced plow controls, and telematics-based performance systems to help manage snow and ice removal. Scott Rosenzweig, the President of Certified Power, said the acquisition was strategic and complementary to Certified Power’s existing winter road maintenance products business. Paul Mortell, the founder and President of Cirus Controls, is set to continue to lead the business. Read more here.
