ACE Controls Inc. recently celebrated their 50th anniversary with a reception that included their distributor base as well as their employees.


Bosch Rexroth training specialist, Mike Bryan, was named Trainer of the Year by the German American Chambers of Commerce (GACC). The GACC Award recognizes outstanding German subsidiaries that demonstrate excellence in workforce training by fostering advanced skills and competence development, especially in young people. This year’s award was presented to Mike Bryan on Dec. 16, 2013, in New York City in recognition of his involvement with the company’s apprenticeship program.

UMN Students win First Prize in Dow-sponsored SISCA Competition

Congratulations to Ph.D graduate students Ke Li and Chen Zhang for winning the $10,000 first prize in the Dow Sustainability Innovation Student Challenge Award (SISCA)!

Ke and Chen work with Professor Zongxuan Sun on the hydraulic free piston engine project at the University of Minnesota. The hydraulic free piston engine stores energy in hydrocarbon fuel and converts it to fluid power in real time as the main power unit for on-road vehicles or off-road heavy machinery.
