The Legacy Builder Award recognizes any company that has reached $25,000 in cumulative donations to the NFPA Education and Technology Foundation. To date, fourteen companies have reached this milestone, including the three just recognized at the 2015 NFPA Annual Conference—CNH Industrial, Pall Corporation and Moog.
Because representatives of CNH were not able to attend the Annual Conference, I recently traveled down to their facility in Burr Ridge, IL, to deliver the crystal award in person. The photo attached to this post shows me with several CNH contacts, including Gary Kassan (second from the right). Gary has been involved in NFPA and CCEFP activities for many years, including a stint as chair of the CCEFP’s Industry Advisory Board. Upon receiving the award, Gary said:
“CNH Industrial has a long history of developing new technologies. We are proud that our annual support for the Center of Compact and Efficient Fluid Power (CCEFP) is not only developing technology we can use in our products, but also supporting the education of future fluid power engineers.”
The CCEFP is just one of the programs supported by our Legacy Builders and all the other donors to the NFPA Foundation. Through their donations, and through their active involvement, they are increasing the impact of our technology and workforce development programs. For a quick overview of the Foundation’s full impact, watch the following 4-minute video:
