On Pascal Day, June 19, the Fluid Power Society of India (FPSI) began teaching fluid power to 7th and 8th grade students in Pune, India. The curriculum they used was provided by NFPA and was from the Wauwatosa, Wisconsin School District. Danfoss India sponsored the hydraulic kits and Eaton volunteers participated.
The group has held these two-hour sessions in five schools in India so far.
FPSI is beginning preparation to hold a Fluid Power Challenge in Pune in the near future.
For more information on sponsoring, hosting, or learning about the Fluid Power Challenge, contact Lynn Beyer at lbeyer@nfpa.com, (414) 778-3364.
