The top six hydraulic markets, representing 73% of all hydraulic component sales, are:
- Construction machinery
- Agricultural machinery
- Material handling
- Class 4-8 trucks
- Automotive
- Metalworking and machine tools
The top six pneumatic markets, representing 49% of all pneumatic component sales, are:
- Class 4-8 trucks
- Automotive
- Packaging machinery
- Oil and gas machinery
- Medical equipment
- Food processing

The report reviews both the size and economic impact of the industry, as well as explores the energy consumption, best practices and current R&D directions of fluid power technology.
