Cross Manufacturing Exhibits for 5K Students at Career Expo

Back in November, Cross Manufacturing attended the Career / Post-Secondary Expo in Hutchinson, Kansas. The organizers of the expo encouraged exhibitors to provide an interactive experience for the over 5,000 students who registered for the event. Cross Manufacturing accepted the challenge and delivered insight into the fluid power industry by allowing students to assemble a hydraulic tie-bolt cylinder for the chance to win sunglasses.

The connection between Cross Manufacturing and the expo was made after the NFPA Workforce Development team attended last year’s 79th Annual ITEEA conference and met a Kansas Engineering by Design State Director who was eager to invite local industry to the Career Expo. We can help other companies engage with educators and students in their communities. To get started, contact Stephanie Scaccianoce at sscaccianoce@nfpa.com.
