Balluff Inc. to Host Third Annual MFG Day Event

Balluff Inc., an NFPA manufacturer member, will host its third annual Manufacturing Day (MFG Day) event October 6th, 2017 at its U.S. headquarters in Florence, Kentucky.

As indicated on its MFG Day event page, all ages are welcome to participate in hands-on activities to learn how sensors and automation work to improve manufacturing outcomes as well as tours of the facility. Gateway Technical College will have admissions office representatives available at the event to answer questions about post-secondary education in STEM (science, technology, engineering and math) programs.

“Our purpose in hosting this visit is to help share the wonders of advanced manufacturing technologies and educate students on the possible career opportunities available in the manufacturing market,” explains Tony Canonaco, President and CEO of Balluff. “We hope everyone that attends walks away with an understanding of how important manufacturing is for the people of the US and especially for our home state of Kentucky.”

An attendee of Balluff’s MFG Day last year shared, “It was educational, informative, and fun! The best of Manufacturing Day was my son being able to experience first-hand the importance of STEM.”

MFG Day is a national celebration of the industry and works to promote careers and inspire the next generation of manufacturers. To engage with students and educators in your local community, contact Stephanie Scaccianoce at
