NFPA member news is designed to inform members of key industry updates in quick, bite-sized posts that provide only the most important information. This week’s update comes from ISO/TC 131 Standards Development.
As the International Standards Organization (ISO) secretariat for Technical Committee (TC 131) – Fluid power systems, NFPA coordinates standardization work, both internationally at the ISO level and nationally at the technical advisory group level. There are a number of U.S. role changes within the ISO/TC 131 standards development structure beginning in 2021.
NFPA would like to sincerely thank the following chairs/convenors for their many years of support and dedication in developing fluid power standards for the industry:

NFPA welcomes the newly appointed chairs/convenors and looks forward to working with you.
Committee members view and download documents and reply to ballots by logging into online committee forums. Examples of topics covered in the cylinder technical advisory group are acceptance tests, mounting dimensions, tolerances and identification code for cylinder mounting types and dimensions.
NFPA members are invited to volunteer as experts on the cylinders TC 131 subcommittees at both the national and international level.
