Over 30 fluid power professionals filled the City Club of Cleveland for the 2018 NFPA Cleveland Regional Meeting. Attendees represented all areas of the fluid power industry. The event provided the opportunity for attendees to network with other NFPA members and find out what’s going on with industry peers by discussing strengths and brainstorming improvements within their companies. They also discussed the state of the economy as well as how many are scrambling to source the materials and people needed to keep pace with demand. Multiple also noted the work their companies are doing to develop Internet of Things capabilities.
The meeting featured guest speaker Grace A. Kilbane, Executive Director of the Cleveland/Cuyahoga County Workforce Investment Board and of OhioMeansJobs. Grace used her experience with workforce in the Midwest to discuss one-stop career center systems and the development of employment and training programs for youth and adults to get individuals re-engaged in the workforce.
