An almost record-breaking 318 attendees from 184 companies attended the 2017 Industry & Economic Outlook Conference (IEOC) at the Westin Chicago North Shore last week.
Presentations from conference favorites such as Alan Beaulieu, Jim Meil, and Eli Lustgarten were strong as always, and there were also some new faces there to offer fresh perspectives. Many speakers pointed out that the economic upswing this year was largely unexpected, and a key takeaway was to expect modest growth in 2018 and decline in 2019. In addition to the usual market forecasts, economic information, and networking that the conference continually offers, this year’s event also featured a speaker on the future of technology, specifically focusing on AI and the future of manufacturing.
Overall attendee feedback was positive as in previous years and illustrated the conference’s value in guiding company strategic planning and data analytics while providing opportunities to connect with professionals from across the fluid power supply chain.
IEOC 2017 attendees can still access the conference presentations on the presentation library page.
Thank you to everyone who joined us!
