Fluid Power Industry Essential in COVID-19 Efforts

The list of NFPA member companies below provided details of what they are doing to support COVID-19 efforts and have been featured on NFPA’s social media platforms. Alro SteelAlro Steel reported it remains fully operational and open to supply raw materials for the production of fluid power components. Its network of stocking warehouse locations is also delivering carbon and alloy steels, aluminum, bronze and brass and plastics for the production of ventilator components and dies for the production of PPE such as masks, gowns and face shields. Applied Fluid Power logo Applied Fluid Power® (added 5/11/20) reported its operations have remained open throughout the pandemic delivering components, systems and services to critical and essential industries including aerospace, agriculture, biomedical, construction, food and beverage, material handling, and mining. Applied Fluid Power has offered critical assistance to companies on the forefront of battling COVID-19, including providing analytical engineering services to a company working on the production of a COVID-19 vaccine now in initial clinical trials.

Continental ContiTech reported it is operational and supporting customers in essential industries.

Daman logoDaman Products Company reported that the company is fully staffed to continue to support its distributors and their customers who are essential to the operation of the country.

Deltrol Fluid ProductsDeltrol Fluid Products reported it is open and serving customers considered essential the in construction, transportation and medical industries. The company is involved in supplying components for some customers on the front lines of the fight against the pandemic, including applications for hospital beds, gurneys, and some specialized respirators. Quality Control Corp logoQCC reported it remains fully operational and is using the slowdown created by the COVID-19 crisis to do needed equipment and building maintenance and upgrades. The company has also been able to support the distribution of KN-95 masks to health care workers in Chicago and around the world through ‘Operation Mask-Lift’. Stauff Corporation

Stauff Corporation reported it is open and working with COVID-19 protocols, maintaining short lead times, shipping from an expanded finished goods inventory, and supplying components to respirator manufacturers through its distribution network.


Suburban Manufacturing logo

Python Protective Sleeve + Covers, a division of Suburban Manufacturing Group, reported it is helping produce ear-loop style masks for local medical facilities. The masks produced out of the Twin Cities manufacturing plant will feature a two-layer cotton layup along with a pocket that to allow medical professionals to insert additional filter material. Projects have including manufacturing a new cylinder used on a dredging boat that was needed to help with the New York Harbor in preparation of the arrival of the  floating hospital “Comfort.” The company is also working with another customer that produces labels for the pharmaceutical industry.
