NFPA Events App To access the app for the 2017 IEOC, attendees should sign in using the email they provided when registering for the conference. The initial password has been set to “nfpa2017” for all IEOC attendees. IEOC attendees who used the app for a previous NFPA event and still have the app on their devices don’t need to redownload the app. Go to the Apple App Store Go to Google Play About the App The NFPA Events app, introduced at this year’s Annual Conference, is available for both iPhone and Android devices and sponsored by Yates Industries. Always stay in the loop with push notifications, resort maps, daily schedules, speaker information and more: View the conference schedule, explore sessions, and see a list of other attendees. Access location and speaker information. Participate in speaker presentation Q&A at the conference. Expand your professional network by interacting with a real-time feed of all event activity, showcasing which sessions are popular, event photos, and discussion topics. Download once and you’re set for all future NFPA events that will have app support. Useful Tips Getting the App To download the app, click one of the following links using your mobile device: iPhone users: iTunes App Store Android users: Google Play To access the Annual Conference content, you will need to sign in to the app. Here’s how: Username: Enter the email address that you provided NFPA when signing up for the 2017 Industry & Economic Outlook Conference Password: Your default password will be: nfpa2017 You can change your password by selecting the ‘Reset Password’ option during sign-in. The app will send you a password reset email. However, the email may get stuck in spam filters or corporate firewalls. If you have reset your password and have not received an email, plus you haven’t found it in your spam folder, email Katrina Schwarz at email@example.com for further assistance. Using the App Updated Feature: Speaker Q & A Ask session speakers questions during or after their presentations. From the app menu, select ‘Speaker Q & A’ and then select the session that you are attending. Hit the “Channel” tab toward the top of the screen, then hit the “join channel” button toward the bottom. New Feature: Message Other Attendees Message other attendees privately within the app. To start a conversation or check your messages, select ‘Inbox’ from the app menu. Agenda The full day-by-day schedule allows you to see when and where conference events are happening. Map See where an event is occurring in the agenda, but unsure of how to get there? The app includes a map of the Westin Chicago North Shore. Activity Feed The best opportunity for networking that the app offers, the Activity Feed is the first thing that you’ll see once signing in and can also be accessed at any time from the menu. The Activity Feed is similar to a Facebook or Twitter feed, meaning that you can share photos and statuses with other attendees. Profile In order to make the most of your networking experience, finish filling in your app profile by uploading a profile picture or simply syncing with your LinkedIn account. From the menu, click on your name at the top of the screen to access your profile.
